Work and Retirment Theories

As I review the various theories related to work and retirement, I cannot help but wonder how the world "weisure" fits into the previously separated worlds. By weisure, I mean the way work has permeated our leisure activities with smartphones, wi-fi, and cellphones, to name just a few of the work-related instrusive devices that mean we can be contacted almost anyway. Isn't it nice to occasionally be out of cell phone range and avoid the "can you hear me now?" intrusions?

Additionally, studies have shown that we are working longer and postponing retirement. What impact is this going to have on work and retirement theories?
